Briscola: card game 4.1

Brisca is a well-known card game that utilizes a 48-card Spanish deck.

Game Instructions

• Before commencing play, the deck of cards is placed face down on the table.
• Beneath the deck, the trump suit card is revealed face up.
• Each player is dealt three cards, which only they are allowed to view.

Gameplay Rules:

• The game consists of 24 rounds. During each round, every player plays a card.
• The first player starts by playing a card from their hand.
• The subsequent player can play any card.
• A round is won by the player who plays either the highest trump suit card or the highest card of the starting suit.
• The winning player collects the cards from that round.
• Upon completion of each round, every player draws a card from the deck.
• Prior to commencing a round, the starting player has the option to replace the exposed trump card with a 7 of the same suit. The 7 can be substituted with a 2.

End of Game:

• Each player calculates their accumulated points from the rounds won.
• The victor is the player who surpasses 60 points.

Card Values

In Brisca, all clubs hold the same point value. The point distribution is as follows:

• Ace: 11 points
• 3: 10 points
• King: 4 points
• Horse: 3 points
• Sota: 2 points

The hierarchy of cards in terms of strength aligns with their score order. The descending order of strength from highest to lowest is: Ace, 3, King, Horse, Sota, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, and 2.

The collective sum of all cards equals 120 points.
